I just found this review from a client, Katie, whose wedding I catering in September of 2009. Enjoy!
Amazing Food, Amazing Service, Amazing Person- posted 5/27/2010
First of all, I found Brad by searching Organic Caterers in Chicago. Can you believe there are so few, this one in Laporte, IN came up? From the start, we hit it off. I didn't want paper plates, plastic forks and plastic cups and he doesn't cater a party when the client wants to use them. Second of all the food is AMAZING. I got crap from my fiancee (now husband), from my parents and from my bridesmaids about his prices but it was WORTH EVERY DIME PLUS MORE. In a wedding where NOTHING else worked out (the reception hall lied and stole from me, the DJ sucked (no father-daughter dance song) and I'm still waiting for my wedding video and complete set of photography...the SHINING light in my whole wedding was that EVERYONE came up to me and told me that my caterer's food was AMAZING. It still is and may always be the BEST food I have EVER had. He did an AMAZING job on my cake as well and threw in a second chocolate fountain with the works when I only paid for one. My guests loved it and the home-made sides (did you know marshmallows can be home-made?!?!). The food was naturally going to taste good because it is grown with love not pesticides but Brad does amazing things with it. And renting dishes really isn't that much more than buying stuff to throw away AND you feel so much better at the end of the day knowing YOUR day didn't generate a TON of waste & garbage. Brad took care of everything from literally MOVING things around in my reception hall when they should have already done certain things, setting up our tables, organizing the DJ and turning down the lights when the music started up. He helped me navigate my crazy vendor's wishes, and getting a bar set up at the last minute. Plus everything he does, a percentage of it goes back to his favorite charities. If you don't use Spire Catering, you risk your guests not coming up to you to tell you it's the best food THEY have ever had! Good luck!!
